Recently was contacted via email by a broker on flippa, regarding an interest in him brokering one of my domains. He listed several advantages of having him broker the domain to assist in a sale. The success fee would be slightly higher than if I listed on my own, however the exposure the domain would get would most likely be much more than if I listed on my own.

Anyone ever use a broker on flippa to promote their listings?
What would you do --- flippa broker or list on your own?

thanks!

Never used a broker on Flippa. What is HIS success rate? Is it an exclusive agreement that only he can sell the domain or are you allowed to list it elsewhere and if it sells elsewhere, he doesn't get commission? Is the name good enough that you would have no trouble in selling yourself?

These are just questions right off the top of my head. If I thought about it long and hard I might have more.

I havent responded yet to get the fine details of the agreement. But this is from the email sent to me regarding what he can offer....

Below are the Account Management services I can provide:

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT SERVICES:
✔ TOTAL success fee of 18% (as oppose to the 15% you would incur listing it on your own)
✔ Listing Upgraded to a Premium Auction ($249)
✔ Listing Upgraded to Flippa & Flippa Domains Homepages throughout auction
✔ Listing featured in Flippa Domains weekly newsletter
✔ Listing assistance with incoming messages and inquiries if desired
✔ Editor's Choice Selection if applicable
✔ Sales Completion Monitoring for smooth post-auction transactions
✔ Editor's Comment to showcase listing
✔ Domain listing emailed to my 200 Watchers (Flippa Domain/Website/Mobile App Buyers and Sellers) & 400+ LinkedIN Broker Connections
✔ Buyer Research and Outbound Marketing if applicable

I only use a broker if he contacts me with an offer from a specific client.

Really hard decision. I may try it once since it indicated the only additional fee is 3% and you get all of the account management services mentioned for free. I would want to be sure it's for this one domain only, not for any other domain that I may care to list with Flippa. Let us know what you decide to do please.
