I understood that somebody who owns a .CO.UK domain has the right to register the .UK version domain .
So if anybody owns a .UK domain ,you would expect that they also own the .CO.UK version.

I registered "vgambling.co.uk" while the .UK version was taken by sombody else ..

yep, things would not go smoothly always,once i registered a .co.uk(loeffler.co.uk),came aross that loeffler.uk already had listed on Sedo.com for sale later on,probably,loeffler.co.uk taken first then drop.

I believe there is a cutoff date for the co.uk registration that gives the right to the .uk
