Unstoppable Domains โ€” Expired Auctions

Completed watched auctions no longer showing on GoDaddy?

None of the auctions I was watching are in my watch list anymore. Usually closeout domains and watched auctions would remain on my watch list after they ended/closed so I could keep it for reference until deleted. Not anymore!?

I hope this is just temporary or a glitch I'm experiencing. Domains are just disappearing from my watchlist.

Not a glitch. They now disappear at the end of the auction.

Well, that sucks.

As of now, the only way to see the result is if you directly bid on the auction. Otherwise, GoDaddy removed the feature of showing past, watched auction prices. Not a good move for the industry, hopefully GD will fix this.

It's the same thing with closeouts. Instead of showing the domain as closed it just vanishes. I could understand the auctions but closeouts, wtf are they thinking...

Well to play devil's advocate it could be a good idea. I bought a domain there, and Estibot lowballs the domain value because the final closing price was made public. It is worth XX,XXX and Estibot says XXX and it's rationale is the final GD auction closing price, which happened to be a huge bargain.

Domainers will see that sales history and say why should I even pay you mid XXXX when you bought it for XXX?

The closeouts still show up until they drop past $5 or someone buys them.

No serious domainer buys a domain based on the value set forth by estibot or the seller for that matter, they decide what its worth. Someone saying a domain is worth xx,xxx is in their opinion. Paul Nicks has commented on the topic and it had nothing to do with Estibot.

We still include Go Daddy sales on TLDinvestors.com.

Estibot appraises 345.com @ 31K... Michael Berkins just sold it for $800,000
Estibot appraisals = meaningless IMHO

They're definitely not showing up for me unless I'm the one who purchased it, then it shows as closed, otherwise closeout domains just been vanishing for me the last couple of days, and I know they weren't renewed, too many and 0 showing as closed

Maybe someone else picked them up.

Closeouts are removed from the watchlist when someone purchases them or when they drop under $5.

It's always been for me that when someone purchased a closeout I was watching it would show up as "Closed" in my watchlist, if it was renewed or transferred out then it would be removed completely with no "Closed"

Always until now. Now they only stay up for as long as the listings are open. Once someone picks up the closeout, it's handled the same as an auction ending -- it gets removed from your watch-list.

I actually like it this way although I agree it's inconvenient for watchers. I kinda hate it when every little bit of this and that gets recorded and shared (flippa comes to mind).

It is still recorded NameBio captures everything $100 and over, Go Daddy lost, because we first started tracking on TLDinvestors.com and then Namebio did as well, so Go Daddy really wasted their time, we do it manually through one method, Michael at Namebio automates it through another method.

sure would be nice if 'visibility' was included with the DDC.
