Through a simple Amazon.com affiliate account, this domain earned $77.89 for me last year. Amazon shows that it got just over 2,000 page views in that time.

NOTE: There may be trademark exposure here, but that’s not clear. “Chess Records” was a famous label that recorded blues and R&B stars such as Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, and Bo Diddley. This music still has many fans today; their type-ins provide all the traffic to that affiliate account.

As best I can tell, that music is now owned by Geffen Records, which merged with Chess’s former owner, MCA Records. But I can’t find anything about Chess on Geffen’s website. A trademark search at uspto.gov gives no results for “chess records”.

I’ve owned this domain for about five years (I originally registered it because I play chess). No company has contacted me about it in that time.
