Is This A "Good" Domain...845 Daily Type-ins...Long Name?

Hey Folks,

I love the feeling of hand-registering a domain name that has high daily Wordtracker and/or SEO Keyword scores; that is a .com and is a product/service.

SEOKeywords: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php

I found one domain, with 5 words in the title, that sells products worth $1000+ and is possible the wave of the future, especially for years to come. It can easily be developed or affiliate ads placed for the product.

It has a SEO Keyword score of 845 daily type-ins.

I did register it :)

But, it goes against everything that we talk about and read.

So, what is your opinion?

The domain: "AutomotivePropaneConversionEquipmentKits" dot com

But people are typing this in life crazy....845 times per day! Am I missing something?

Just want your opinion.

Thanks,
Paul

Google: No results found for "automated propane conversion equipment kits.

I don't know much about propane kits, but I'm guessing the words go in a different order if the traffic stats are correct.

Thanks for the correction. I would pass on this. ALG suggested a good alternative :)

PropaneConversionKit.com would be the best. It allows you to offer Many kits for different things.. Lawnmowers or really anything that has a carburetor.

Frank S. happens to own it though...

I think this Really will be the next big thing to get away from Oil!

Thanks for everyone's input.

I always find these situations interesting.....The fight between highly typed-in phrases and the long tail domains. Hard not to take a chance for approx. $7.00.

And since I am a whore, I did register AutomotivePropane.com...thanks to AGL. Reps added also to AGL...thanks.

interesting info ...

i'm shocked that 'propane conversion kits for domestic cars' gets nearly twice as many searches as simply 'propane'

When a keyword search tool gives unexpected high results for a phrase that is unregistered as a dot com, dig deeper and listen to your gut feeling. In this case, google adwords free keyword tool returns "not enough data" for an exact match of the 5-word combo, and 1000/month average for the shorter "propane conversion kit." A thousand searches per month for a single word would predict some type in traffic, but expect fewer type ins as the number of words in the phrase goes up. I know of a 5-word dot com with adwords results of 8000/month, it draws 5 type ins per month. Long phrase names are usually better candidates for development than parking, especially if the phrase has low google page results. Strong search interest with low published pages increases the odds of achieving high page rank.

ecalc's profile pic unnerves me, but he always has loads of great things to say - and i agree 100% with the above.

i usually multiply the searches per month by the CPC rate (very approximate i know - there are other factors, like related keyword CPC, affiliate sale prospects, etc).

but forgetting all of that, just on exact searches i'd usually want to see 5,000 searches a month (as a minimum), 10,000 is better, and 40,000 is very good. if it's .com or .org or .net is less of an issue -- as i'm mainly developing names.

but, given changing algorithms and search terms, a good brandable is also a nice option -- another reason to go with the "short" version. or else a longer brandable -- like CheapPropane.com that includes the most-searched keyword. which is often what the big guys do, too.

LLLL.com - eek, so good it's scary. changing your name by deed poll then too, reece?

has2hands has a great domain should automotive propane get big and we all know that it may gear that way, and to think auto propane dot com is already registered. You had the right idea, you just needed someone who loves to research and play on words.
