Now I ask everyone - would these sort of results have happened on TDNAM say 6 months ago? IMO I don't think so. This is great news for the extension!

I stopped looking at TDnam months ago as there was never much quality there but maybe i should start looking there again.
Maybe Xmas is a good time to make some buys while the less dedicated spend time with their family :hehe:

I offered up webcamtv.tv for $200 to someone and they almost laughed, saying tv.tv does not make sense... well it might not make senses but it make dollars!

The 3 .tv names also did well. Actually shocked the businesstv.tv sold that cheaply. Worth a lot more.

I own a few of the keyword tv.tv names.

I hope it isnt like tha short lived e keyword.tv like when erealestate.tv got sold. I don't belive there were many e words sold since then

I was biding heavily on all 3. Looks like we're costing each other money.

Most importantly, no one should celebrate an "expired auction" win at TDNAM until the domain is ACTUALLY in your account. Keep in mind, it may take 10+ days after the auction for the name to be yours... too often I've seen names get "reclaimed" by original registrant... even on very high dollar sales.

i.e.
telephones.tv HIGH BID $4K+
behavior.com = $17K
swollen.com = $4K+

all reclaimed by owners... who let it expire.

I've been disappointed before... plus, it's very important not to promote any domain you've won until you know for sure, so that no one else steps in and tries to take the name from you... I won't say anything more.

Now I don't celebrate until after I know the domain is completely mine.

I wouldn't say they are selling quite well. Yes it sold good for a .tv name, but Business is one of the top 5 keywordtv.tv that you would think would sell for the most.

This sets the bar as of now for tv.tv names so where does that leave a name like perfumetv.tv? $30.00?

I tend to agree with you Richard. If you take the last 2-3 months, we have seen some very decent prices with prefix "i" or "e" then [Keyword], or yesterday [Keyword]tv.

The Keywords though have been very strong - realestate; business.

I believe however that the overall bar for the extension has been lifted. There is more interest and TDNAM is more competitive and has been for a while now. I think MrRhee is correct in suggesting that it is us lot bidding each other, but thats always been the case. I think there are now more outside people looking at the extension and TDNAM offers the "easiest" way to acquire on the aftermarket.

Also, would the names sold yesterday have got those prices here on NP?

Since it was NP'ers bidding on TDNAM, then I would assume it would have gotten similar or higher prices on NP.

The way that I see there is more interest in TDNAM with .tv's is the amount of names listed for sale these days as opposed to 6 months ago.
