Hello,

I'm confused about an issue. I have my eyes on a domain that is set to expire today. The registrar is NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC. After some research i found that NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC. recommends Namejet.com for backordering.
Does namejet have an edge over the other backordering providers in this case? Can NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC. "favor" namejet in any way? How does this work?

Thanks!

Yes, if the domain name is in prerelease, that is grace period. That means expired but not deleting. Actually, the domain name never deletes, it's just renewed and transfer to the winning bidder's account. For that reason the domain retains its original creation date.
So you need to place your backorder before a certain threshold date. Past that date, the domain name will enter redemption and ultimately drop. At this point, any dropcatcher could catch the domain..

I have read positive review on internet about namejet and this is good for domain name backorder services but place your bid early with high value to get your desired domain name by doing backorder.
