Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

Another possible explanation is that Chinese purchase from GoDaddy and relist at the Chinese marketplaces instead.

New stats shows that there is more activity on cheap LLLL.com's < $1000 segment,
but anyway CP count in 2K-3K price range is also decreasing day by day (a bit slower than before)

You have to factor in that 2000-2999 is pretty wide range and people sweep the lower portion of the band faster than the top portion. So it might not mean slow down, it might mean the floor is rising. And in ratios, in one day 50% of available in that range is gone. Within a week, there might be not a one at <3000 range.

Also, yes it is notable that LLLL.com below 1K is disappearing fast. Only 323 left vs 931 just 2.5 months ago and 13% reduction from the day before.

Now many domainer realize the price is surly going up in 4L and they can afford to buy non chips so grabbing as much as they can able to buy.

This are just big investors, they move time to time from one range to another. At that moment when I created the report Oct16 it was so.

Yes, this is true.

I have many chip/CP 4L.com which are aged 14+ years. Is domain age still a factor in sales, for this market or down the road a bit... or is that just Western mentality?

Domain age is important for search engines, hence the value. But that is again less liquid value. And that is on top of your floor value that is very liquid.

I mean one Chip for $3000 - no real enduser potential, only Chinese investors

Or 10 non Chinese premiums for $300 each, you may get lucky and get nice ones for that price.

Is it really an question?

And that is why market is correcting itself by lifting floors for randoms. The gap will close to at least 1/4-1/3

some people will still make a crap load of money. it wqas not me. I missed the opportunity and never saw it coming. when 4L chips or non chips were $20 a piece 1-2 years ago. but that's domaining, somtimes you get on at right time.. and then most times you do not ;)

those who are trying to make a buck buying 4L chips or non chips now may get royally screwed though. imo of course. it's just too damn lat.e

either way, the china boom will probablt cchange domaining for always.
do not mistake this with continual value increase of chinese domains.

the truth however imo remains tht chinese isn't even close to being a universal worldwide language.. and it will take maybe 100 years, if evger, for it to beccome one... whereas english has been the #1 languge.. and will continue to be.... and for this reason cars.com will always have more value than xqzw.com

cheers all and happy domaining.

I think its wise decision, we will see very soon...
I know I probably leave a lot of money on the table with the pace they go up, but I made a 135% net return in 2 weeks with this CP. I can't feel bad about that. It will pay the Christmas gifts :)

No one can complain about those returns so congrats :)

BTW is it just me or is chaomi.cc down?
I've been trying for hours to get it to load but it's just not happening.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same experience.

good choice
no time to be greedy now :)

sometimes in life or usually.. things go down just as fast or even faster than they go up :)

like someone rightly pointed out in another thread, its proibably bad idea to be paying marketvalue for 4l.coms right now
chip or not

early morning sales for 20th in China is looking very strong. At least 6 sold in the early morning hours close to 20,000 yuan (over 3.1K USD). Could be a sign of where the market may finish end of this week.

I noticed that as well.

However, prices at auction seem to be down around $2700 approx on various marketplaces in the last hour or so. Probably just need time to catch up as China is always ahead and there was a minor price dip for a few days which now seems to have finally filtered through to godaddy/namejet etc.

However, the 4l's with better patterns like a repeating letter at the beginning or end, or something like sxsd.com type names are flying and pulling away fast from the rest of the pack IMO. I'm seeing these names at $4k + now and just weeks ago you could get them for $2k max.

Certainly there is movement within the last few hours. You are right. xdsb.com is about to close above $3900.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow looks like!
