This whole showboat could have easily turned the opposite way at $1000 - he made the right play selling then.
Especially considering that these "highly valued assets" were selling for $20 - $60 not too long ago.
Didn't the Chinese have the internet then too... they must have had comcast installed in 2013 but didn't set up their router till earlier this year.
I won $1300 playing roulette two weeks ago, starting with $40 - the dealer was lazy, or inexperienced, and was rolling to the same part of the wheel over and over. After I walked away i saw he rolled to the same pattern of numbers three more times.
Was I a fool for walking away with a nice return - of course not - and I certainly didn't kick myself.
I sold my 'chip' domains - for $300 - $600 each and am 100% cool with that because I bought them at $20 - $60 - not because I thought that was the top by any means, but because there are a lot of domains you can buy for a lot less to turn a larger profit.
Hindsight is 20/20, and if this market did start to turn around $1000 the same people that are saying 'told you so' now would be saying 'told you so' if it fell below $1000 and would call the 100 CP seller a genius for selling so high.
It could turn on Monday for all we know. Nobody knows. But it will turn eventually, and to think otherwise is just foolish.
