.tv Chatrooms.tv taken back by Verisign!

Looks like it gets crazier! Chatrooms.tv was scheduled to drop today, but Verisign has taken back this name. My suspicion is this was a 2008 Sedo premium auction name and they did the same with Auctions.tv.

The name is indeed now a .TV Reserved Name

However, I think this was always marked down to go back to the registry if it ever dropped.

The name was purchased in April 2010 - just a month after the massive and positive changes to the .tv system - and was one of a collection of held back names that were put up for auction with SEDO.

Some notable sales that day (there were no NDA's to hide behind) the bargains of the bunch in my eyes being Reporter TV Archive TV and Bargain TV.

Auctions.Tv went for $5050 and was acquired by Michael Bilyk. It was dropped soon after.

Of course, the biggie was Business.tv which went for a six-figure sum - something I have often seen/heard by the more ignorant as something not possible for a measly .tv name!

Curious as to the track record of resales on this group of 2010 premiums? Are they still held for the most part by the original investors? Any notable developments?

Maybe they will have another big auction of reserved names in future, could be decent pr again if auctions did happen & sold well like before.
