How much would you say that the .cc extention is worth if you compare it to the value of the .com extention for the same keyword?

Would about 0.5% of the value of the .com extention sound about right?

The value of a domain is what the buyer wants to pay for it. One that is interested in paying 100% for .com need not be interested in buying the .cc for 0.5%.

I think we cant compare .com and .cc because .com is the king but still .cc have its own existence and at times they perform even better in a name than .com eg. creditcard.cc
I feel it is much more easy to remember than creditcard.com if some good service is started on creditcard.cc.

Catchy, yes. But I don't think anything is easier to remember than .com.

.com is the standard for domains so it is compared with every ext. in existence. About .cc -- I bought many NNN.cc's for about $10-15 eaxh and found a guy who bought them for $50 each. It was pretty nice, cashing a $1,000 check.

.cc names are NOT worthless. They are only worthless to those who can't sell them.

Based on previous sales, I would put the value of .cc domains at somewhere between 3% and 7% of the value of the .com (for the same term).

Cool, that's nice to know as I thought that they were worth less than that. Where do you usually sell your .cc names, on forums or at Sedo?

If you can sell my .cc names for 3%-7% value of the .com, please let me know and I'll pay a nice commission.

Face it - Comparing extensions based on any Percentage is pointless.

Some Keywords may have more significance attached to certain extensions (Based on intended use of the extension and cctld's etc ...)

I think many of us have tried it in the past - and a few may even use a formula to base their selling prices on , But overall - I don't see anyone ever swearing by them.

With the right keyword/term/numbers - I can see value in any "valid" extension.
