two letter TLDs (extentions) are only for countries. .uk, .eu, .tk for instance. You would have a hard time getting a three letter TLD. Only about 3 get approved a year.jamieneil said:If all of np worked together do you think we could get a .np extention.
You have to pay the $50,000 application fee whether or not ICANN approves your extension they get to keep that money. Then figure up all of the start-up and operating expenses to maintain the registry, servers, support staff, etc. that goes into the registrar. You'd be talking about atleast a couple hundred thousand bucks to get started. Then there's no guarantee the extension would even prove to be successful, so if it fails then you've lost all of the money for nothing.jamieneil said:IHow would i start my own extention. As i would have many ideas for it. .tk was created and you can reg them for free. I want an extention. If all of np worked together do you think we could get a .np extention.
We can all chip in and give you one for your birthday.jamieneil said:I want an extention.
