Twitter has "soft released" news of a "password glitch." Basically, millions of account passwords were stored unencrypted in log files, that just might have been dumped elsewhere.

Also, Nadia Pessoa's @Harp account got hijacked. Coincidence?

I think it goes without saying, but use a different password for each service. Do not reuse passwords across websites. At the very least your E-mail account should have a password that is unique and hard to guess.
Use a password manager, then you have super-complicated passwords and no need to remember them.
