I had a heap of domains with Sanity Domains (http://www. sanitydomains. com/) and I have managed to transfer all of them to godaddy except for 1 domain - the AUTH code does not work, now i contacted Sanity and they told me to contact Planet Domain so i figure they were a reseller, so I have tried to contact Planet Domain on several occasions, submitted tickets, sent emails, and nobody will get back to me? so what do i do? I need to transfer this domain! Anybody had bad dealiings with Planet Domain?

http://www. planetdomain. com/

any advie appreciated.

Hey cornnfedd,

What is the exact error you are getting? Also is the domain name unlocked? Make sure they are unlocked. Also did you just register it or recently aquire it within the last 60 days? Many places will not allow transfers of domains until 60 days after you get it. (icann regulations I believe)

the domain has been registered for years, i have already transferred 15+ domains without an issue, no the domain is not locked.

from godaddy:

"Error: Transfer failure.

Your request to transfer the domain name ##.COM has failed.
Please contact your current registrar for the domain to find out why
the transfer was rejected. Your transfer request will remain active
in our system for 30 days, after which time it will expire. Once any
standing issues have been resolved with your current registrar, you
will be free to reinitiate the transfer through us as long as the
transfer has not expired.

You may be able to resolve the error simply by resubmitting the
domain transfer request. "

the AUTH code does look different to all the others also though, funnily enough it looks at less letters..

? doesnt tell me much!!

This may seem obvious but did you actually check the Auth Code at
the source again?

Since you were able to get the Auth Codes before ,you should be able
to get request or get it again.

Is it possible you cut and pasted that one Auth Code and left off some
letters?

A longshot, but see if there's a "v" at the end of the Authcode ... if so, try it again without the trailing "v".

Missing the CTRL part of the CTRL-V paste key combo can result in a trailing v being appended to the end of whatever is being pasted.

And yes, I've personally run into this on more than one occasion, so it does happen - again, it's a longshot, but if there's a "v" at the end, take that off, and retry the authcode.
