Take a look at this BBC news report about the consumer electronics show in Las Vegas.

Apparently the bIG topic at the moment is about TV and the internet.

Note: Take a look at the use of the itouch with a mini-projector and then you SEE that internet TV has arrived.

.TV about to Explode?

Just watched a report from the CES and how the big companies are trying to merge tv with the computer. A mention of a url bar on the bottom of tv screens coming soon? Will .TV eventually be side by side with .com in the next few years? Guess we'll have to wait and find out. But I was excited to see this report and learn a little about where technology might be heading.

I wouldnt sell those nice keyword domain .tv's so fast my friends. One never knows what their true value might be soon.

The merging of TV displays and the Internet is no guarantee of the success of .tv to gain mindshare. There is even a chance, however slight, that domain names in general will be supplanted by some new emerging system that catches fire. But all that said I am glad to see this news. I hear those 65 inch laser screens that Mitsubishi is pumping out are fantastic. I have to go look at one in person soon.

OLEDs could usher in a wave (make that a tsunami) of ubiquitous public video, screens everywhere from the humongous (think "building/stadium" size) to the minuscule. That is when the price drops.
