does google ban domains (not included in the google indexing,I don't mean the adsense ban) because they are mini-sites with duplicated contents or poor contents?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

If all you got is duplicate content then you won't receive an actual ban but you can expect to be pushed away into the supplemental index because you don't have anything non duplicate content wise.

When you say poor content it depends what your definition of poor content is, you could have poor content and have a stronger back link profile then other pages in the results and no matter how piss poor your content is you will outrank others.

You risk being banned if you do any of the things they warn against in their Quality Guidelines.

Aside from that, as Damion said, poor content in itself won't get you banned, but depending on how "poor" it is, you can incur a nasty penalty which is just as bad.

Also, if you build a mini site on a previously-owned (expired) domain with a bad history, it may not get indexed because of an existing ban on the domain. In that case you'll have to make sure it's as clean as can be and then submit a reinclusion requeset.

for large number of banned domains, would submit google.com/webmasters for re-considering work?
What about whypark.com, moving domains to whypark.com, does it make it more likely to be banned?

Whypark did have a whack of sites dropped from the index because of duplicate content and it could very well likely happen again. And yes you can ask for a reinclusion should your domain get punished. Problem is there is little rhyme or reason to their timing. I've seen some come back as soon as two weeks and others took over six months to get out of google's purgatory. Lesson learned - don't even bother with duplicate content - it's a complete waste of time. If you value your domains and actually want to make money take the time and spend the money to have real content created.

And remember when you ask for a reinclusion you have to state why you were probably banned and what you did to correct it. Just asking but not changing anything will get you nowhere. If you get a whole lot of domains punished and ask to get them all re-included they might just ignore you!

Exactly Whitebark!

The thing is with services like WhyPark that it's pretty much in the same line as black hat SEO where you create 1000's of spam blogs and it leaves a bigg ass footprint in the process.

ns1.whypark.com
ns2.whypark.com

Having those nameservers on your domain basically tells Google: I don't care about creating something of value, I just want to hit the go button and get a number of sites published on the web. I don't stand behind my content and it's all auto generated.

Domain development isn't about using a Go button and then getting your whole domain portfolio developed in an instant...it's about taking the first step with one domain and moving forward to the next...using your profits to outsource tasks and again moving forward with another project.

That gives you the opportunity to flip your properties more easily, it's a different strategy then focusing on a select few projects that you spend your time and attention on, but it will help you increase your chances of flipping your domains to end users.

As others have said, having a mini-site is fine. But having copied/duplicate content will harm you big-time.

I had a site which I unfortunately put some duplicate content on (well, a re-written Wikipedia article) and it ranks on about page 2 as a direct keyword search, but I've since re-designed it - all unique content, etc, and Google haven't re-indexed my site in ages.

So yeah, you can easily get penalised if you have duplicate content.

Think about it - the Google bots are furry little creatures who need love and care. If you feed them with content that they've already come across, it'll upset them and they'll take revenge.

So to sum up - beware of the Google bots, have unique content ;)

Find a balance between duplicated content (I prefer the word syndicated haha) and original unique content.

If you don't have unique content .. rewrite something

Thank you for your post.
You are correct, they simply ignored the re-inclusion request. However the problem is that I still don't know why the sites were banned to begin with.
