Can I get free transfers anywhere?

I have a domain in an account with globat and want to transfer it to a different registar as I don't trust globat they seem real dodgy, are there any registars that offer a free transfer service? Thanks for the help!

Nope, you'll have to pay to transfer it to another registrar.
Globat is an Enom reseller, so technically it's possible for them to push the domain to another Enom account for free, but don't get your hopes up that they will if you ask.

Actually you will get another year before it expires when your transfer. So you may consider it's a renewal at another registrar.

Didn't know Godaddy was a cheap registar? The only reason I am moving from globat is they don't even respond to my emails very dodgy if you ask me :td:

Godaddy is OK (tho' it's not for me). Don't use any under $6 registrars (unless there are promotions). You know what I meant.

Do the other codes mentioned on that page cover transfers also or just new registrations?

I believe that the GoDaddy coupon codes will not work on transfers that are already discounted, so the lowest you'll be able to get is $7.20 for .com domains.
