For those of you who don't know - here is part of an email I received from eNom:

**************
This is a formal notice to owners of domains which have been registered through eNom via its reseller, RegisterFly.com.

YOU MUST TAKE ACTION NOW TO RETAIN FULL MANAGEMENT RIGHTS TO YOUR DOMAIN NAME.

Although you purchased your name at RegisterFly, eNom is the actual registrar of record for your domains. As we are severing our relationship with RegisterFly, we are aware that this may have an impact on you as the domain owner.

For those thinking that Enom has done something wrong...have you used registerfly the past 18 months? It's been horrible! It's a bonafide fiasco. I think Enom is just protecting themselves from the inevitable civil suit that is gonna hit RF one day. One also has to wonder WHEN Enom decided on this...for all we know it was 2-3 months ago. We do not know the communications that Enom has had with RF but one must assume there was some.

Also I am a bit worried about my domains because I still do not have them in my account at Enom.

From the notice that was given that I posted in post #84. It appears they(RF and Enom) knew sometime after 2/1/06. Or atleast it appears that way to me.

The amount of names remaining at enom.com is relatively small. Any registrations/transfers after February 1st 2006 are directly under RegisterFly.com, inc. which would not be affected by this.

To me the logo always just represented that someone paid a hefty member fee to a greedy organization.

My only complaint with Enom is not what they did, but how they can keep a straight face about their renewal fees.

Can you see their faces anyway? :D

What's wrong with their renewal fees?

Well I got a call early this morning and within 5 minutes had it all worked out and my domains in an enom account.

The rep was nice and I tried to squeeze some info but didn't get too much. However he did say that this has been an ongoing problem and it was just this week they decided to do the deed. He isn't allowed to really say more but I said I know there is a lot more to the back end of this story and he said "oh yeah..a heck of a lot more". I am sure that RF and Enom had some big problems. RF can't do anything right with their customers so how do you think they dealt with Enom?

Anyways...I am happy. I just need about $1000 to move the last of my domains out of RF. I have 174 left but really only want about 150 of them. I spent 7 hours yesterday unlocking each one of them manually and then also getting all their EPP Auth Codes. I sent support a bulk request and they just blew me off. I can't wait to get out of there. It's a nightmare. I can see them getting shut down very soon now and I fear my domains being caught in some bizarre trap unless I get them out now.

I advise everyone to GTFO now.

btw..the names that went to enom...I will most likely move to Moniker anyways...it was actually just 8 domains but I had 25 domains expired at RF (crappy .info names I got in bulk). The funny thing is that Enom wants $160 to renew an expired domain...no way buddy.

Anyways...this whole thing was entertaining but rather tiresome. I really did spend a tremendous amount of time on this and I still ain't RF clear. What a hassle.

now i have no domains there. To find a reliable domain registrar is always important than a cheap price.

That's the bottom line.
It's not worth the hassle just to save one buck on a name. With regfly you have a real chance of losing your domains.
Registerfly RIP.

Well they got me with a $2.75 .net sale and $3.99 domain transfer. I went for it...I saved at least $300-$500 but in the long run I had to waste a LOT of time dealing with their incompetence. I had to triple check everything to make sure I didn't lose a domain in their system. Often names were transferred to them...yet were NOT in my account...oh how convenient that was. I grabbed a couple hundred 3 character .net's I might otherwise not have gotten so that's cool.

I am done giving them money though. I have 2.99 in my account...they can keep it.

I have 18 domains there. Those all domains will be deleted. I didn't got the email.
Is there a chance to transfer them to enom for free? I didn't understand very well.

mtorregiani, IF enom is the registrar for those domains, they will probably help you move them.

I am amazed by how many people have been scammed by registerfly. I knew they were frauds when they stole my money via expirefish.

I don't have too much respect for enom either.

Does everyone have a $9.99 renewal rate for .COM's in their migrated eNom accounts?

As long as those names stay in the new account created for the migration, yes. If you push them to another eNom account, no...the renewal rate will be keyed to the rate already being received in that login.

Of course, those who are eNom ETP resellers are already getting a rate of $9.99 or less. For those who are one, although they must create a new account for the migration, after 7 days they can push to their existing eNom account.

So, am I the only one who got his eNom accounts suspended after migrating the domains?

Migration went well, they've asked me for an ID scan which I offered, I've added a credit card, renewed some domains and soon after - accounts were suspended.

That's odd? How many domains? If it's over 20 they are verifying information and maybe you just need to contact them. I had to submit Driver ID, my new enom login, and they wanted me to reply to the email I got with the key.
