Interesting registerfly info on webhosting.info

For the week of 4/16/07 registerfly:

* Registered only 46 new domains
* Had 25 domains transferred in to them (22 from enom, presumably enom reseller renewals?)
* Loss by deletion - 3153 domains
* Loss by transfer - 1161 domains (a few got lucky and transferred out okay)
* Processed only 34 domain renewals

All the above is based on 884,228 total domains at their registrar.

How much money do you think they took in though? Another thread suggested thousands of $$ per day.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
Loss by deletion - 3153 domains
:td: I feel for the domainers who lost them

I thought ICANN was freezing all domains at RF so that they would not drop. Has that not occured?

I transferred one of my remaining 5 out 5 days ago and it arrived at Moniker today..

It was actually very fast and easy to get around RF for a change.....

I am not by any means recommending returning there.....just a heads up for some trying to get names out..

That was my understanding .... I don't have any there any longer , but was under this impression also.

According to ICANN's site, what they've done is talk to the Registries to lock
any Registerfly-managed domain name to prevent them from being re-regged.
They don't directly have that power when they don't have the full accurate
data to begin with.

This post from Registerflies can give an idea, Mark:

http://www.registerflies.com/information/can-you-say-5000-a-day-for-nothing.html

As every day passes, one has to wonder how Registerfly is still open for business and why? Well, thanks to an insider that works closely with Kevin, we were able to squeeze a little information from this source as to just how much money Kevin is continuing to milk out of Registerfly customers that have no idea as to what's going on with the company.

Everyday someone still visits registerfly. While we don't know the exact traffic, and insider working at the Florida location has reported some interesting information about how much money Registerfly is still taking in. It's been reported to us that Registerfly is pulling in between $5000 - $15,000 us dollars on any given day and not rendering services paid for. On the 16th of this month our sources told us that over $5200 was received by Kevin Medina and Registerfly by way of Paypal alone. While Humboldt may have shut down Registerfly's credit card merchant account, Paypal and MoneyBookers are still accepting funds through the Registerfly interface.

It was further reported by this source that there have been deposits over $1000 and some customers have made multiple deposits and keep making deposits into their account which actually reflects a balance in the interface but the money is not really there.

Someone has to take legal action fast to put a stop to that.

I managed to tranfer out my 4 domains I had there last week. No trouble.

I still have about $12 on account there -- has anyone managed to get their money on account back?

Updated For the week of 4/23/07 registerfly:

* Registered only 112 new domains
* Had 740 domains transferred in to them (646! from enom, presumably enom reseller renewals?)
* Loss by deletion - 3817 domains
* Loss by transfer - 1325 (+/-) domains (a few got lucky and transferred out okay)
* Processed only 1106 domain renewals (I wonder if those were owned by the management, since no one else seems to be able to?)
* Total 879,896 still there.

Is someone monitoring zone files for these stats? Just curious how this data is being compiled...

webhosting.info monitors and tracks this data for ALL registrars. There is a lot of interesting ranking and stats there:
