One of the most important things I have learned as a domain seller is that, once my ideal price has been met, I must close the deal as soon as possible.
Most purchasing decisions are made subconsciously. See this article for more details. Therefore, the longer it takes end-users to think about the purchase they are about to make, the less likely that purchase will materialize.
In my domain flipping business, most of my sales are closed within one hour, from interested response to domain push and invoice generation. It rarely takes longer.
I have sold a few names within the last two weeks, but also have four end-users who showed interest last week and three of them are no longer responding. This is, of course, common and I have learned to live with the fact that some show interest initially and then don't follow up.
