What are the domain(s) you regret selling / regret selling for cheap?

Mine are...
AcceptCloud.com
ConnectABC.com

Both of them were hand-regs but I feel like I should have kept them for longer; end-users might have crossed these someday.

I'm not going to say exactly (hurts too much) but there's a really-really good tech domain that I let go for $2,500.

Probably could have got $10,000 or more if I just held on to it.

At least I got money for that though. There are 4-5 domain drops that haunt me to this day.

None whatsoever.

Sell, move on, no regrets.

Won't name the name, but I sold one for $3500 about 10 years ago. I wasn't into domaining and it was just a name I had stopped using. I needed the money, so when the offer came in I negotiated it up a bit and sold it.

Looking back and looking at what some names go for I could have pulled in 10X that if I had known what I was doing and if all the options available today where available back then.

Every domainer always look at every sale and says "I could have gotten more"-- it's a natural part of sales, because you never truly know the other party's intentions. The most important thing is to stick to your wanted value and that's it, as long as you were satisfied with the sale don't look back at it.

Move forward and use the money to acquire new and better domains.

NerdByte.com

Sold it long time ago when I was just starting out and always regretted it because it was one of the first websites I built. But I got it back a couple months ago. :)

Yeah, I hear that. Lost a couple of .tvs through an odd situation. There's an nper here who scooped them up right quick. -shrugs- You focus on your wins, and try not to let it hurt or take it personal.

For every domainer that's regretting selling a name there are 5000x more regretting not selling a domain when they got an offer.

I catch drops all the time that at I have been monitoring for a year or two that at one point I offered XXX-XXXX to buy.

I've never regretted selling any domain (so far). Here's a Chinese saying for you guys that do regret selling a domain: Learn from past mistakes to avoid future ones ;)

No regrets yet on any that I've sold, however I remember way back when some 3 letter domains and decent dictionary words could be acquired cheap and I passed on them...thinking they wouldn't be worth anything. I've let some drop too that I wish I hadn't.

I can't remember a sale regret.
I remember few drops regret. But my biggest regret is not accepting a high $x,xxx offer for a web-project i've developed in few months during early 2008. I was earning from $120 on Jan 2008 to $550 on Jun 2008, and then i thought it would have increased more. I was optimistic, and when received this offer, late Jul 2008, i innocently thought i would ended up making $1,000 per month in a short term, with all the plans i had about this project.

Then, the 2008-2009 crisis. Just after few weeks, all the ad revenues drastically dropped , ended up making mid-high $xx per month in Sep '08 and low-mid $xx at the beginning of 2009.

No sale or drop regrets. Money is money. If a name is a dog, I'll drop it and not look back. With that being said, I do hate having multiple registrars and accidentally dropping a few $$$ reseller names by not managing my portfolio correctly.

I regretted selling a programming website I built. The domain name was nothing special - neither was the generated logo. But it performed well in Google SERPs, homepage PR5 and had about 120,000 pages across several subdomains. I could have got several times more money for it but overall it was my first proper website I built... and there were no commission or payment transactions needed to be paid.

Slightly different. Can't say I regretted selling a domain name, only regretted dropped domains! Perhaps a bit indifferent when not accepting an not-bad offer but for me... I would rather lose out long term than someone gaining an advantage!

I haven't regretted yet for any selling, especially my pricing structure is cool enough for resellers/end-users.

But, i have few regrets for not buying at the exact time.

Anyway, like others say "look forward to the future without losing any hopes".

This is for those who have any regrets not just limited to domains also to the life;

Bump an old post!

I recently sold a domain that I regret selling. Mostly because I really loved the domain. Wish I could get it back but I know I can't.

One thing I learned from it. If a domain cannot be easily replaced, let alone, can't be replaced at all, it's a good one.
