Probably every month, there are new topics here about "no sales".
Sales are really not as many as we would like! That's true!

Although I sold 30 out of my ~300 domain in 12 months,
(I do not include recent sales here, 3 domains for $30K)

https://www.namepros.com/threads/my-domain-name-sales-for-the-last-12-months.1353901/

These are not the huge numbers that everyone dreams of!

I regret... I regret the rejected $2,000 offers for average domains (all new gtld).

In the early days of "new domains" (new gTLDs) from 2016 to 2019,
there were a lot more $2K offers from the real buyers than there are now.
Many thanks to Uniregistry!!! ...and they had a $2K minimum offer by default.

Over the years (2016-2019), I have turned down $2K offers for over 50 domains,
for which I never received another single offer after that, or at least similar offer.
I even dropped some of them.

Starting from this:

https://onlinedomain.com/2016/10/21...owner-refuses-2000-offer-buyer-goes-com-2100/

FYI, this domain is now available! :)

I dreamed Big!
But I learned from my mistakes!

I realized one important thing.

If I sold all those average domains for which I received real $1,000-$2,000 offers over 10 years, and for which I did not receive any other offers after that, or the offers were lower than the previous one, I could make at least an extra $150,000 for about 100 average quality domains.

And this is what I regret!

And in this case, not only did you not earn an extra couple of hundred thousand dollars, but you still continue to pay for renewals of these ~100 domains every year! $50 on average, $5,000 each year for those domains that could be sold for $150,000

I'm not talking about my good or best domains, that's a totally different story.

And of course, sales of other domains always cover the renewal of all domains!

I take it these were not Coms cause it's only $11 or so a year renewal. What are some of the domains you considered average? Just curious because average to you might not be considered average to anyone else. Thanks

All domains listed here that were sold over a 12 month period are average domains.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/my-domain-name-sales-for-the-last-12-months.1353901/

Including the domain “Super . Work” which I sold for $24,000.

Interesting story about this domain:

Last summer I received a $1,000 offer for this domain from an entrepreneur from India.

He said he had a project in mind, and $1,000 is his maximum offer.

I rejected his offer.

But a few months later, in October, I emailed him and asked what his best offer was.

I was willing to sell him this domain for $2,000.

For 8 years, I have not received a single offer for this domain!

But he replied that his plans had changed and he didn't want to buy this domain at all.

But 4 months later, in February of this year, I sold it for $24,000, to another entrepreneur.

If you want to know which of my domains I consider to be the best, these are the first 75 domains on my web page.

“The . Company”

Starting from “Art . Club” and ending with “My . Day”

Almost all domains in the section “HOT SALE” are good domains, but there are also some average ones there.

I'm not worthy. Really not worthy. Fantastic! Thanks for the info. A few more questions- if you answered them before somewhere I apologize. How do you price these domains or do you let the buyer make an offer wth no buy it now price or minimum offer by you? Did you hand reg these domains and if so, how soon after .Life became available to register? Thanks You're an inspiration to us all.

Almost all of my domains, ~90%, are hand regs, almost all of these hand regs ~95% were dropped by previous owners.

I see you recently registered one .life domain for $1.99, yesterday or today, depending on the time zone.

In 2017, I hand registered “Crypto . Life” domain, for the same price, $1.99

After the previous owner dropped it.

This will tell you everything.

At that time, probably, only a small number of people believed in the success story of new domains.

Most of the domains I sold, were sold at a bin price that I randomly set! :)

I am utterly amazed these people dropped those domains. Honestly I registered bestest.life for #1.99 as a joke to see if anyone would want to bid on this for $100 on Ebay. I just am in shoc these people let those domains you got expire. Maybe the people who had them died and that's why they were available. I can't see the logic at all. Any congratulations.
