Bumping Limit suggestion

I used to own a forum powerd by vbulliten (as I believe this one is) and I enabled this feature. Really what it did was limit when somebody could bump his/her thread. You set the time limit, say 24 hours, and, lets say somebody posts, if he tryes posting again within 24 hours, the information he made in his second post, will be merged into the first one. And the time limit can be set at different limits, etc...

Do you guys get what I am saying? If not just post so and I will try to refrase.

It is enabled on this forum..... I've seen it work before. I don't know what the limit is set at. But we only allow one bump per 24 hours.

Ye? I know you only allow 1 bump per 24 hours, ill just test it out on here to see if it is in play :)

Last I heard its set to 12 hours (correct me if I'm wrong). However as Bill pointed out, there is a 24hr bump rule in effect.
