Build a website first before selling the domain name

Wondering what most people do, i.e
1) Sell just the domain name without website
2) Build a website on your domain name to get it popular before selling the domain name
3) Sell the domain name including the website

Could anyone advise which is the better ways to sell

You are taking a short cut like many who first start in this business - I would advise you to go to earlier posts and try to teach yourself the basics first...

If it was easy to become a good domainer by saying do 1 to 5 then everyone including Obama himself would leave their day jobs to become a domainer.

The naivity of some newbies astonishes me considering I must have spent 65 million hours of my precious life time studying and researching!!

Good domains sell themselves.

No point to develop domains unless the intent is to build up traffic and revenue as the primary selling points, at which point you will be asked to provide stats.

That said, you do see alot of lackluster domain names that sell for more than they would undeveloped, at places like Flippa to those looking for ways of making passive income and don't really care what the domain name is.
