Broker discusses success of generic domain name trading--Shanghai NET Network Service Co.,Ltd

The market for generic domain names is still a lucrative one, according to one expert.
Ashley Saddul, president and chief executive officer of ImpressiveDomains, told
Portfolio.com, that demand for a domain name broker can be high.
"Sellers would rather pay a ten per cent commission than do it on their own and possibly
end up with less," he explained.
Many of the domain names sold by Mr Saddul's firm command six-figure sums, including
wallpapers.com, which was bought by a screensaver company for $300,000.
ImpressiveDomains lists both firms and investors among its clients, but Mr Saddul told
the publication that it can be difficult to predict which names are likely to become
increasingly valuable.
In related news, Adam Wayland, editor of Smallbusiness.co.uk, said that organisations
should look to employ a domain name that is "not too complicated and quite easy to
remember".
