london just check the site, how many .me do you see... how many companies do you believe would want .me..

already with all the competition, clients often just remember .com for the most part.. forget getting .me domains unless it's a really cool one. And if you do, don't buy it just because you hope BB would accept it.

I already have names published there so I know what's on the site-they told me they take .me not vice versa. lol

I'd never give BB another name other than .com. Why would you give them a six figure name when you can call Andrew Rosener or Dave Evenson and they'll take it in a minute? They don't have 14,000 names. lol

I'm going to talk to Namerific about opening up to some .me names down the road. CLOUD.me, sold for $22,500 in 2010 I told BrandBucket this and that Apple paid $4million for iCloud.com and they still turned down
Cloudi.me and Cloudi.io I own them both but the .io wasn't going to be sold cheap anyway and I put that note in with my submission. I'll hold for a price re Cloudi.io .

Again, to reaffirm what others have said, cloudi.me and cloudi.io honestly do not make sense. They are not conceivably in the same ballpark as names like cloud.me and cloud.io. Just try saying cloudi.io out loud.

I'm not trying to say the domains are bad, or that they aren't worth anything. But you're doing yourself a disservice, while simultaneously insulting our intelligence, by trying to compare something like cloud.me with cloudi.me.

and how many were through brandbucket? Also what is your definition of alot... some examples of 1 word .me's are outliers, that's hardly comparable to .com sales..
I never said .me is not a good extension, but for the brandbucket marketplace in general, good luck selling a .me... just look at the sales history.. did they claim a substantial .me sale vs all the .com's? it's like saying having an option to take a black sports car and try to sell it , versus a neon green one... the black one has more potential to sell.. the green one might sell, if it does, probably to someone who realllyy wants it... but if you're rich enough to play the one in a million lottery game.. by all means.. but for the people who are looking for more liquidity .. .me is not the extension to run after.. anyways, everyone has an opinion.. i rather look at the facts and base mine on those

I asked BrandBucket all about .me BEFORE I gave them the names-then I ran them buy some very qualified developers-guess what-BB doesn't really want .me but they don't want anyone else to have them either so they will tell you they take them. re your "Finance" etc comment I gave them StockMarkets.me and they turned it down. They shouldn't be wasting clients (the sellers) time saying they even take anything other than .com and that's fine but say it.

Stockmarkets.me is a pure keyword domain that BB specifically does not accept. It is not a brandable. Not even an extension hack brandable.

I'm not sure why you are so aggressive with everyone. I see you handregged cloudi.me a few weeks ago so I assume you had a reason (a selection of targets to contact to sell to). So what if it doesn't fit with BBs business model, just go and contact your targets yourself.

p.s. BB also has Profile.ly for $20,000. Try saying that ten times on the radio or Events.ly at $12,000. Obviously, they have some type of equity interest in the .ly names.

by the way guys, I don't know if others agree, but let's keep it more on topic with BB... yes they did refuse a name that you thought was a shoe-in.. it's perfectly fine to mention it, as it can help others to not send the same type of name or learn from it... but once that is done and discussed a bit.. i think we should keep it more constructive to a certain point.. as I'm sure alot of people who have set up alerts on this thread keep getting alot of them.. but nothing that would be of further use to them and we may lose some key people from contributing seriously to this thread. (I'll mention it a final time, this is not to offend anyone)

The problem as mentioned before is that you can't compare domains that are good in the dot com extension to those that are good in the dot me extension. Generally all dot me domains will be good (better) in the dot com extension - with some possible hack exceptions. However, MANY domains that would be awesome in the dot com extension wouldn't be worth regfee in the dot me extension. It's just a combination of dot com being "king" and the limits from the word "me." I'm not going to say you won't sell it - perhaps even for a profit - but I wouldn't have bought it for regfee. On the other hand, I would be willing to spend a small fortune to get cloudi.com to sell. Add to that, just because Frank Shilling has it listed for that price doesn't mean it's worth that - guys like him are known to price high and also sell higher than some of us would have - whether due to salesmanship or whatnot, I don't know. Lastly, BB is very specific on their requirements for domains in general (no keyword domains... on the interview Margot says they wouldn't necessarily take CloudHosting.com - not because it wouldn't sell for a ton, but because it is an exact match domain that doesn't fit with BB). And when it comes to dot me domains they have even stricter requirements that they be strong call to actions involving the word "me". I respect your opinion, but you are beating a dead horse at this point if you don't recognize the above points.
