Based on above data it seems everything sells.
I agree. Hard to draw conclusions on trends based on BB sales. Basically, BB can sell any name.

Dnbolt, what do you think about deciblelab, I'm missing something? The description is: A sound, memorable name that is a clever and unique twist on the word decibel. So 'decible' it's good, but my decibellabs was rejected, maybe I'm missing something.

My dashboard says labs is stronger than lab. If I was bb I would have accepted both. I can add as alternate version on deciblelab/com . Don't know if that would help.

or try convince them to accept it.

English it's not my first language so maybe I'm wrong, but decible it's the same as decibel?

"decibel" is a dictionary word but NOT "decible"

Example of startups using "decibel" => decibelinsight.com
Example of startups using "decible" => 0 found

Try having a chat with them, there are quite friendly.

Thanks for confirming. I just wanted to make a point, it's important who is submitting, doesn't matter if it's the correct spelling or not.

If you submit keyword+keyword to BB both words must be correctly spelled.

That's the idea, my ' decibel labs' it's the correct spelling and MK's 'decible lab' it's the wrong one....but mine was rejected and the other one accepted...so probably we should submit just the wrong spelling to get it accepted.

As far as 5Ls go - there are 11,881,376 total domains. (26 x 26 x 26 x 26 x 26)

What all patterns exists depends on what angle you are look at it.

Some patterns do not form pronounceable words, so people typically wouldn't seek those.

CCVVC Example: SHOOT
This pattern can make several pronounceable words or invented words that "sound right"

CCCVC Example: STRIP
This pattern can form less words as finding three consonants in a row is more rare.

CCCCC Example: *none*
There are no words that contain no vowels

You just need to run through them in your head or through an algorithm against one of your databases and the most popular patterns will be apparent.

Not sure your exact question but I hope this helps some.

Thanks... I was wrong the whole time while you the master was right. I came back to it a month later and discovered your explanations made complete sense. Guess I owe you a drink.

BrandBucket released their latest seller’s newsletter and January was a strong month. After removing sales above $10K, the average sales price for a keyword brandable was $2773 and the average sales price of an invented brandable was $2345.

Surprisingly the keyword “Drone” remained the top keyword search.

January Sales
2017 started just as 2016 ended! Our January numbers mirrored our December numbers both in terms of revenue and individual sales. 48 unique sellers welcomed the new year with a “Sold” email! After removing sales above $10K, the average sales price for a keyword brandable was $2773 and the average sales price of an invented brandable was $2345.

Top Searches
The top 15 searches stayed relatively the same with “Drone” staying at the top spot.

Finally a domain that sold containing keyword drone =>purpledrone/com after years of hype as the most searched keyword.

Finally a domain that sold containing keyword drone =>purpledrone/com after years of hype as the most searched keyword.

Interestingly enough, there are currently ONLY 154 bb search results for DRONE. When I checked last week, there were 152 'drone' results (including purple/drone) 4 with Alexa rankings At the time, purple/drone was positioned on page 1, position 40.

Unless you're tracking tags/categories, it's unclear how many 'drone' domains sales have originated from this search. For example, the below domain doesn't have drone in the domain, or is it overwhelmingly fitting for the drone niche, yet it's included in the search.

upload_2017-3-23_16-5-4.png

Of the 152 (not including private WHOIS) one all-star seller, call him Kevin DuRant, has (22 or 14%) of all drone searches. Kevin DuRant has roughly 1,500 bb domains, or 3% of bb total domains. [3% < %14]

BB has 36 domains beginning with 'ZOR', yet, Kevin DuRant's ZOR domain was the only one to be included in the 'drone' search.

I guess if 'Drone' is the top search, the questions to ask is (a) who's searching this - sellers or buyers (b) which bb sales have resulted development in the drone niche (and) were they included in the 'drone' search of bb.

Currently, to my knowledge, there are less 'drone' domains on BB than any of the other top 15 reported searches.

Any recent sales to discuss @Dnbolt ... The site seems under the weather at the moment.

These days am focusing less on dnbolt.

I've given it enough training on how to respond to adverse weather conditions. However If it still cries out for help in the dark heavy rains I will have no choice but to not look back and simply ignore it until when convenient.
Is that a good idea, inst't that cruel? Well it's just like the blue and red pill. Either I stay home and baby sit it or I go out and work. What you you will choose? Exactly, my friend!

For any other stuff pm me. Thanks.

S/h/a/r/e M/y S/i/t/e sold with a price tag of $3,995.

Always interesting to see three word domains sell, especially for a good price.

5L domain is another hype that I have been seeing. If you can't find quality and I mean "quality" 5L then I suggest stay away.

After 4L what's the next best? :)

one other thing, computing sold domains difficulty has increased and cost so, will no longer support soon.

@Dnbolt - I just noticed your fine print on your last post. Are you about to stop reporting BB sales?

Yes. Soon will no longer be free for public. Much harder to compute unlike what namebio does.
