I just finished my second site, boroughs.mobi. It's a site for those living and visiting the NYC area. The site has been chosen by dotMobi to be included in the showcase (it will be added next week). Please take a look and let me know what you think.

The question from a new user

Hello everybody! I am new to the site www.namepros.com Could anyone, please, advise if there is a lot of spam and unscrupulous advertising. Can I trust all this information, which is present at this forum? Sorry for stupid questions, I just really want know which information I should trust or even pay attention.

Seanboy, Great to see your boroughs.mobi and congrats on being featured in the mtld showcase.

I was kicking the tires and would like to suggest one possible change. Using Bronx as an example, after getting search results there is the "start over" link. To me it would make more sense if it took me back to the Bronx search window instead of the main home page.

I'm curious where you get your content? I've got lots of geo domains that will need this kind of content in other regions and any leads are appreciated.

Boroughs.mobi is a great addition to the pool of developed sites!

SeanBoy, if you want to try some images (ie, map of the boroughs on home page, transparent in nature, more or less a backgound) and then resolve to same but individual borough for each one selected, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Not essential but if you need some help on that let me know. Also if you think yo need a logo I can do one in a matter of minutes.

First thing first...welcome.

Second thing second...please monitor where you are posting. This thread was for suggestions.

Third thing third...yes, it can be trusted. All this information? A great deal of it is opionions, much of which is based on experiences (good and bad) and some of the discussions can and will get down right ugly and brutal.

If you have an interest in the .mobi, then you are in the right place. Much can be learned. And when you don't know much about certain things (like me) sometimes you don't have much of a choice but to trust what others are saying or suggesting.

This group of people in this thread are diligently working their butts off tweaking .mobi compliant websites. I am not a programmer but I am more than interested in how things work out as I have a pile of .mobi to be done.

So stick around, ask questions, contribute to the conversation, offer your experiences and hopefully take something away and inspire others.

And boroughs.mobi is pretty cool. As a former NYC resident I think it's a nice site. I searched Brooklyn (my old haunt) for "cannoli" and got some good results. A+ from me sir.
