hello folks,
yesterday, i search a domain name on gdaddy.it said that was available,with normal .com price.ha!
not only i finalized payment process, but after that i recieved an mail informing me that the name is already reg'd.
they returned my funds, but why all that happened?do you have something similar to report?

A not so bitter recent registration story:

I checked a .com name with my usual registrar and they said it wasn't available. Out of curiosity I checked DomainIQ to see who might own it and they said it was available. So I checked my usual registrar again and they still said it wasn't available. Then I checked GoDaddy and they said it was available. So I registered it at GD.

Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday with a .net domain. A few minutes after I registered the domain, GoDaddy sent me an email that they will refund me, since the domain could not be really registered.

again, why the fix their system to prevent that?it won't be so hard...

It happens all the time at GD, its because there database is not live

You will hear it happens at most registrars

It happens all the time with GoDaddy. I am not sure if it is that frequent with other registrars. Last year I did a lot of registrations and it happened at least five times.

I found a perfect ccTLD domain (useful in my country), but I wait for get cash. After 2 days I figured out somone else got it!

Now that website is one of biggest news agencies in the country!

I use namesilo and i love it, it didnt happen to me even once.

But sometimes i use easyname and its awful and sometimes namecheap and its not that awful but still awful :/

Yes, it's very awful.I can say not so much for the refunds, but the disappointpment you get is HUGE...
