Hi all,

any advice or comments will be highly appreciated. The title pretty much explains everything, but let's add some more info.

1. domain registered a week ago
2. the domain is 3 word .com starting with "bitcoin"
3. I also purchase the same domain in .org
4. .com get more traffic than .org
5. the first offer was $250 via facebook messenger I returned low $xxxx - reply from potential buyer was "No thanks for now"
6. the second offer via flippa, $50, my counter offer was same, low $xxxx - there is no response for more than 36 hours

I don't like when people do not reply to emails and messages.

How would you do in such a situation, to be honest, I will say that I prefer to sell the domain because I like things to happen quickly...

Thanks in advance

That is absolutely normal, many buyers do not respond when they don't like the offers.

But, what is more frustrating - when you accept their offers and they don't respond after that :)

Last week got 3 offers for different domains and I accepted all of them but till now no answer :)

It's a game to get a further price reductions from sellers. If you can ignore for about four weeks or more, he might come back. It has happened to me. I had to lower the initial agreement by $100 to get the buyer's attention. "if you are paying today, I will give you additional $100 discount". He replied immediately and the deal was closed.

Both from same person? if yes, they will come with high XXX counter offer sure. Don't hurry to close the deal unless need urgent money.

Stay calm and stay positive.

Also dig about the buyer detail, whether he's a enduser / domainer / broker.

Goodluck :xf.wink:

I feel you on that. Happened to me on here. Guy reached out making offer on a domain. I immediately agreed to sale at that price... He never responded so I hit him bck up over a week later and he said he found another name.. Which was weird because I responded less than 5mins after getting the PM....

Never assume your domain is the best or only option. I'd guess he was shopping around and made offers on similar domains. He then waited for the responses to roll in and selected the one(s) that best fit his budget.

Of course there could have been other reasons he didn't move forward with the purchase of your domain and just used the "I found another domain" as an excuse.

Good/better luck with the future offers you receive!

I agree.

My names are sold through the epik marketplace and when I get an offer and I accept (it is usually lower than my asking price) I tell the person I will lower the bin price to their offer for 48 hours so they can make the purchase...after that I start adding 100 a day until it gets back up to my asking price. The 'buyer' will either pee or get off the pot as they say. I also make it clear to them that anyone else that may stumble onto that name will see the same pricing and may purchase it ahead of them...sounds harsh maybe but it weeds out those that are just blowing smoke.

Thanks.. I didnt think it was the best or the only option. I just thought he wanted it because he asked for it..lol..I just wouldn't use that approach..if I see a domain I want to buy and I make an offer and the seller agrees I will go through with it because I feel like I sought that person out not vice versa..it would have made more sense to create a domains wanted thread and have ppl submit domains and then choose the one you like. But everyone dont look at things the same way... But it's no big deal just didn't see the point in doing it tht way. But since I been on here I been watching how ppl move and trying to learn a lil something. Thanks for the reply

Never assume that there are multiple buyer. Can be different accounts or emails from one source to fool you. Although they can cut there fingers too by bringing the price up. Nowadays it's rare for people to say thank you for your time but i'm not interest for now. Don't let it bother you and don't lose patience as they will win at the end. Hold your breath and make buyers "beg" for a name. You have the control

After my last message it happened to me too. Had a high floor but low miminum so they offer 1 dollar above. Afternic broker would come back on it but nope. Unireg approached me if i sell. Gave them my portfolio and they turned quiet themself. Thats the business. People like you when you have what your need. Besides that your just a digital name for them

if I were you I will counter with $500! rather than X.xxx, 3 words, domain are hard to sell, especially if you ask X.xxx. unless that domain have good metrics, maybe you can! though, market for 3 words are very small, because if they have budget xxxx, I am sure they prefer with something like 2 words, or maybe 1 words another extension!
anyway, its just my personal opinion, I could be wrong though :)

Don't be upset, from time I joined this forum till now I sent 23 offers and only one person was kind to reply. I was :xf.confused: at lack of response in first few times but I got acustomed to it and now I don't expect anything.

You want XXXX for 3 word domain registered a week ago you must feel strongly its a great name. I suspect those offers came from domainers who are logically most likely to notice a one week old good name than an end user needing it one week after you bought it.

If you want end user pricing you are probably going to have to wait.
