Paid for domain at Sedo but no response from Seller

My company purchased a domain from Sedo.
Understood from my boss that payment has already been done.
According to him, Sedo couldn't contact the domain owner even though it has already been more than 2 weeks (can a Sedo rep clarify this?).

The domain in question is iOpenHouse.com.
Boss told me he already paid low XXXX amount for it.

I don't have any experience with Sedo.
What can we do now? Wait for the buyer to response?

Just wait otherwise cancel the deal, so sedo could refund you

Sedo generally takes some time to hand over the domain to the buyer. But the transaction should be completed in a couple of weeks. More often than not they end up taking more time than that.

When a 3rd party service is used in a domain transaction, it becomes a 3 way circus!

Buyer needs to pay...
Middle Man (Sedo) needs to start the transfer after payment is made.
Seller has to accept the transfer etc..

These things can take time. Depending on if your boss "Did" pay, since it didn't sound like you were 100% sure. Sedo can take a little bit to even contact the seller.

The seller could be on vacation, not getting the emails, died or whatever..

Just about anything "could" happen.

I would contact sedo via Phone and give them a time frame. If you do not have the domain by the end of that time frame, you want a refund. :imho:

Sedo has pretty weak service in general. I have a transaction in which Sedo has been holding a domain I bought in their account since 9-27. It says to wait for contact from them. I have never been contacted, and haven't even received a response in 3+ days since I contacted them. I have had so many issues with Sedo service it is pathetic.

Me too, just because you've paid for a domain does'nt mean you should have to wait forever...if you don't put a little pressure on them they will just plod along !

I have that problem too but the other way around.
I sold weeklyoffer(dot)com
Sedo received payment from the buyer a couple of weeks ago but he still hasn't initiated the transfer after they sent him the auth. code.
So I don't get paid (yet). :td:
