Birdflu Alert

Hello All,

If, God forbid, this birdflu turns into a pandemic, it will lead to a massive cull in domestic fowl.
As it is, I would sell all my shares in the chicken industry and if I were a turkey - I'd fancy my chances.
Most of the birdflu names seem to have gone, but there may still be some mileage to be had.
Anyone have any relevant names?

I am w/ you on this, although to be honest, I would have to qualify this, by saying that "usually" this is the case. :hehe:

Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. No it's a plane. No it's... ZAP! In the event that the impact was close to home, this would be one of those domain names that would fit the category of having a short shelf life. Seriously, though, (at least I hope so!), the name has VG potential for providing projections of various scenarios of what would happen should Earth or one of our celestial neighbors get popped.

I think the majority of us would agree. Interesting, but I didn't even think of this in the light of profiteering as I did 911, the Tsunami, the Earthquakes, Hurricanes and other recent disasters. A pandemic is something that has global impact and can effect anyone of us. It might happen but, it hasn't happenned yet, so I see the domain names and the sites that are spawned from them as being beneficial and as an aidi in the preparation and prevention of a potential disaster, and not as a means of capitalizing on a disaster that has already occurred.

I'm not into those domains yet; I am very concerned about the effects this bird flu might have on us humans. It sounds very scary right now, to be honest.

I agree that this can be a question of ethics at a point but at the same time profit can be made and education strengthened on the subject.

However, I will say that heaps of people haven't died yet.
