"A football match normally lasts 90 minutes," says Keld Strudahl, International Marketing Director of Carlsberg. "For a true football club fan the remainder 9,990 minutes of the week is a dreary wait for the next match. With PartOfTheGAME.tv we offer fans a place to hang out while they wait - a place entirely focused on their passion for football and dedicated to fans from all over the world, who can gather and share their glorious victories, proud defeats, and epic moments," says Keld Strudahl.
PartOfTheGAME.tv encapsulates the future of television: the viewers are not just passive consumers. Today viewers become users, contributing to the content. PartOfTheGAME.tv is web-television for and by everyone who shares the global passion for the game of football.
PartOfTheGAME.tv gives fans 7 constantly updated channels - all celebrating football. The 7 channels are: HIGHLIGHTS, SPOTLIGHT, MY PASSION, THE SUPPORT, THE MATCH, ON TOUR, and OUR GAME.
The principle behind Carlsberg's new web-tv channel PartOfTheGame.tv is that the users will participate in the editorial process and generate the content. In the same way as YouTube attracts people and inspire to up-loads - PartOfTheGame.tv is set alive to attract the millions of football fans from all over the world. Via PartOfTheGame.tv it becomes possible to share, rate and comment on videos for everybody who has a passion for football and wants to show it to the whole world. For those who just want to watch videos and be entertained with stories about football and fan-life PartOfTheGame.tv also has a lot to offer. At launch there are more than 200 videos to be watched and the number will grow on a continuously basis.
Partofthegame.tv has its own editorial team who travels around the world producing stories. But the users also have a key role in the further development and production of the content.
