Here's a question that I have run into a couple times. On Godaddy auctions, sellers will have a minimum bid of $60 or $100 or something obscenely low when they are looking for a XX,XXX or XXX,XXX offer. Any idea why they even allow for such low bids? Does Godaddy charge less for fees?

No they get charged the same percentage on a sale.

I also think it's crazy to put a low minimum price and then respond with a very high price. But they might be one of those GoDaddy dreamers, because there is only a very small percentage of domain worth $XX,XXX, and most of them are either not for sale or not for sale on GoDaddy.

I recently made a low minimum bid on a domain, and the seller came back with $25,000. I didn't respond and he halved the price after a couple of days. For a domain which was worth less than $500. It comes with the territory at GoDaddy Auctions.

Yeah, I have done this twice. One had a minimum bid of $60. I bid $250 and they came back with 90k. Just embarrassing. I just wish they would put even low XXXX or XXXXX as a minimum if they are that serious about trying to get that.

It's simple - if your domain have more bids it could look more valuable for the buyer :)
