Hi guys!

Sorry if the answer is already here, but I was unable to find it.

1. I have few domain names (registrar GoDaddy, Dynadot) listed on Afternic.
2. Automatically, those domains are listed in GoDaddy auctions.
3. The problem: on Afternic I have BIN set at x,xxx, Floor Price at xxx, Make Offer at $ 99. Despite the fact my minimum Make offer on Afternic is set to $ 99, the Make offer at GoDaddy auctions is $ xxx.

In other words, if anyone is looking for a domain at GoDaddy, instead of looking for it at Afternic, he / she must be blown away by the high Make Offer, therefore not bidding on that name.

Is there a common practice? Or something I don't understand? Related with sales commission maybe?

61 views, and no answer. I'll simplify this:

cloudintelligence.com

Afternic:
BIN: $16,000
Make an offer: $12,000

Go Daddy:
BIN: $16,000
Make an offer: $10,400

londontutors.com

Afternic:
BIN: $9,000
Make an offer: $4,000

Go Daddy:
BIN: $9,000
Make an offer: $5,850

Not my domains. But I'd like to understand where this "Make Offer"price difference is coming from.

Is the GD make offer close or the same as your floor price?

its just how their system works
there is nothing you can do about.. or just list seperately first on gd then on afternic like I do

otherwise if you list afternic first.. and then it goes to gd.. and yuou put afternic bin = 1000
then your gd min offr will be some % of that.. I do not remeber how much. .but its fixed %
maybe like 30%
so maybe min offr here would be $300

I think Joe mentioned on another thread that it is 65%

Here is response i got from afternic for the same question

Thank you for contacting Aftermarket support. Each of Afternic's partner sites has their own way of displaying the listings from that feed. As an Afternic customer you have no control over how the listings appear on partner sites.

The problem is not *how* it is displayed rather than *what* is displayed.
I hope they understand that at Afternic.

Hi, this is a sample domain I have listed at Afternic.

Afternic: BIN $ 1495, Floor $ 250, Minimum offer $ 90
Godaddy: BIN $ 1495, Minimum offer $972

Yup, that's by design. As per @Joe Styler , for make offer + BIN listings, GD displays a min offer of 65% of the BIN price which, in this case results in 1495*.65 = 971.75 ~ 972
