Frank, I have not really studied it yet, but I do understand a bit about SEO and quite a bit about content management systems. Have you ever used this tool?

    https://www.epik.com/services/marketscope/

I think we can automate and/or integrate the process of allowing a user to look up the strategic keywords for a particular domain and streamline the process for adding SEO-worthy content.

You are perhaps more of an SEO expert than me. Got any advice?

I also wondered if there was a way to add additional trackers for potential trackers for FB ads, Twitter retargeting, etc. From your personal experiences in selling domains, have you used any platforms for retargeting visitors that have resulted in sales for a domain or do you believe that it would be unnecessary?

Numbers are for brokered sales only.
I am curious what the number for non brokered sales is. As Uniregistry is used by professionals and those have no commission, it must be substantial.
I also wonder what the afternic number is.
    And if afternic beats Uni..
50M brokered sales only is already a lot..

Uniregistry Brokerage Boasts Impressive 2016-2018 Sales

    https://domainnamewire.com/2019/06/10/uniregistry-releases-domain-data-50-million-sales-last-year/

    2018

    • 5,445 total domains
    • 404 one-word domains
    • 2,363 two-word domains
    • 423 three-word domains
    • 538 one-to-four character domains
    • 1,799 other domains
To sell 5,445 domains, the company made 383,104 phone calls and sent nearly 22 million emails. That’s an average of 70 calls and 4,000 emails per domain sold!
Uniregistry’s biggest sale in 2018 was a two-word domain that sold for over $1 million. 58 domains sold for at least $100,000. One of those was a .net and another was a .co.uk. The others were .com.
The median sales price for 2018 was $3,500. This is higher than other marketplaces such as GoDaddy/Afternic and Sedo, likely because Uniregistry focuses on brokered transactions and doesn’t have a syndicated buy-now listing platform.

    Maybe.
I actually think their non-brokered sales number is higher.
Because the 15% vs 0% incentive is too high, especially among experienced professionals who know how to handle leads.
Way to many premium .com land at uni. They have escrow.com integration. All the domainers I know are using Uni as their main registrar are big domainers.
Uniregistry's total sales volume could be higher than afternic's.

It is definitely possible to set a FB pixel or do Google re-targeting. I could use a specialty consultant who is expert at retargeting or a recommendation for a software product that does this well. We would pay for someone to fast-track a solution here. Please have anyone interested PM me or email recommendations to [email protected]. We are starting to work at massive scale, so a 10% increase in conversion rates starts to have serious implications.

Everyone should know my vote already. So, no need to mention as there's no competition right now as far as lander is concerned.

The Epik SSL lander has improved...the new click box options before launching the parking page are awesome! THANK YOU!

Having a clear and to the point landing page is essential...now, if you would allow us to remove the 'Epik' in the top left corner with a click box or at least move it permanently to the bottom right/left corner with the other 'tags' it would make the page super clean...then first thing a visitor would see would be the domain name.

edit/add: By moving the 'epik' to the bottom it will allow the page to move up...this will allow the 'pitch' area below the name to be seen in full without scrolling when using a desktop.

Sure, we could do that -- we showed the Epik logo on the left to balance the page vis-a-vis the TrustRatings seal on the right. We are going to make it so that you can hide those logos altogether.

That would be great...thanks. Maybe move the epik logo to the bottom right or left. The pages are looking good!

I remember my first year domaining. when I want to check my uniregistry's Lander working or not, I try to bid my own domains. 3 month later, and maybe every month after that always got emails from uniregistry's broker. I think,it's very annoying for anyone else, but for me at that time, it's a good (free) lessons about how to sell your names.

Automated re-touching of the prospect with scripted personalized recontact emails is a good idea. I think it s an area to explore. In case not aware, Epik acquired this product last weekend:

    https://www.namebrokers.com/

It was part of a deal that was focused on a training platform announced here:

    https://www.namepros.com/threads/domain-microfinance-program.1154715/page-8#post-7406835

We are still taking inventory of what is all possible there with help from @DomainGraduate who joined us as an advisor on the upcoming "Epik U".

ICYMI, it is now possible to turn on/off many of the various boilerplate sections of the landers. See in the footer of the Lander Design tool.

    A few updates:

    New IP address range

    @Miao just secured another /22 IPv4 range -- 1024 more unique IPs.

Your IPs for your SSL landers may get an update.

As a general statement, the domains with the highest traffic quality will also get the cleanest IPs.

SEO and W3C compliance of lander pages

We are also doing a full W3C compliance audit of the SSL landers. That should finish shortly. If you see best practices that we are missing, by all means let us know.

Personal Name Stores with dynamic search

In about a name all domain owners will have their own personal name store. @Ala Dadan is finishing those deliverables with engineering. So, you can have a search/filter page with just your inventory. These will also integrate a fast version of dynamic name search. See movie:

    https://us.tv/videos/watch/ddc78d1b-baa5-417f-8afb-47f9e482b8b9

    TrustRatings integration

An important update was completed on schedule today. Now businesses can sign up and manage their TrustRatings account. This is also means that each SSL lander can have its own TrustRating. Alternatively, you can also turn off the TrustRatings badge completely.

    Network Upgrades
A lot of network upgrades are coming online, and new data center expansion plus a really big upgrade of core server gear should improve page load times. The server upgrades should come online this week. The databases -- always redundant anyway -- have already been replicated so we expect no downtime from this upgrade. In the meantime, network speeds are looking good, and getting faster:

    http://ping.pe/laptopcomputers.com

If anyone experiences any slowness from any location, PM @epik and we'll look into it further.

    CRM Tools and Broker Network

With the acquisition last month of NameBrokers.com and NameInvestors.com, we are looking at a breakthrough solution for helping folks manage their domains and sell their domains directly and though an international broker network. It is definitely a pity that the Efty folks don't work with us more proactively. We like what they are doing, but they don't integrate.

    Additional wish lists welcome.

    Quick Update here:

    - New Epik.com data center is live which should make for faster user experience on Epik.com domain manager but also for the domain landers which were already very fast. If you were wondering why the Epik control panel seems faster today, now you know.

    - Network routing optimization continues. Dallas, Denver and Ho Chi Minh should see much lower ping times shortly:

    - W3C compliance audit of landers complete:

    Cool new feature to report.

When you get an inquiry, you get the full contact details of the inquirer. That is not new. However, now you also get a one click lookup to see the reverse lookup of the IP address that visited your page.

    Example:

    https://whois.epik.com/5.254.19.101

And next I have asked the engineers to show the reverse lookup of the other domains that this IP address has checked in the last 30 days.

I believe that will be a very useful indicator of whether your prospect is sophisticated, i.e. checks many domains or just a few.

    How do you like that?

Epik is cool for the reasons that @Rob Monster mentioned as well as the ability to bulk edit all of your domains to apply a consistent lander across your portfolio. For your high value domains you can then go in and edit for SEO refinement.

Awesome! How do you check that? I've had close to 9,000 visits and 35 inquiries for Cola in the short time I've had it at Epik. Would be great to see some data around these!

We have been asked about doing the same thing with IP logs for visits in addition to WHOIS lookups. The data volumes for parking are vastly greater but I have been told straight up by many domainers that if we gave them full logs of parking visits with IP addresses, they would switch to Epik landers. So, we are enabling that feature. We do this on the network edge with our proprietary CDN. Hope to deploy this soon. In the meantime, it does work as described for WHOIS lookup logs so you have a preview.

Quick comment on lander commission structure.

So, if you use Epik landers, we give you all the contact details of the inquiries. Obviously this means that you can sell your domains without a commission since we give you the direct contact info. Some people do that and they are allowed to do so. Unlike almost everyone else, we don't force you to clear through Epik.

That said, here a few a reasons why you might want to clear through Epik anyway:

    1. We make it convenient -- If you simply accept an offer, we do the rest. The buyer has many payment options including cryptos.

    2. We will help you negotiate with your prospect and close a deal, possibly at a price much higher than you might secure on your own, in part because we often know more about your prospect based on their overall customer profile.

    3. We do fraud mitigation. If you clear through Epik, the buyer goes through our fraud mitigation filters. They are not perfect, but they are getting mighty good.

    4. Your commissions fund service and support. The fact is that we do invest aggressively back into making Epik great. Think of it like a tip for providing a worthy product that helps you sell better.

Thanks for your support. More improvements on the way -- notably the full CRM and escrow dashboard.

Maybe this is old news, but I thought I would share that this week I looked at whether any of the domain names that I used the Epik landers that permit expanded text, links, images, etc. to see if they were rated anywhere on Alexa. I realize that Alexa ratings go up and down a lot from day to day, but was surprised that about half of the ten or so names I checked in fact were in the Alexa 10M. None of mine were in the 1M, and some of mine were not in the 10M, but I am encouraged that some are in the 10M.

Now I don't know if any of these matter (probably) but
    • they all have significant text, about a page worth
    • most of the ones I checked I had developed the landers in July so they have had a few months
    • I link to the domains from my own website, so I guess that is how they got crawled, maybe?
    • One of the examples below I mentioned on my Twitter account when I acquired the domain name and created the lander.
Anyway, I thought I would share.

    Bob

PS I hope not breaking any rules but if you want to see examples your(.)ph is showing about 3.1M Alexa this morning for me, BikeHut(.)co is at about same level. Teszi(.)com that I have had posted less long on Epik lander but already shows Alexa 2.5M, but it is a term that has meaning and lots of Google results so some may be stumbling or seeing if it is for sale.

PSS I checked some more that the only difference was I had not included any text, and at least the ones I looked at were not in Alexa 10M, so I think having a text description is a relevant factor.

Hey @Rob Monster , I have a question, is the payment processing options only applicable for domains that transferred to EPIK? For e.g, my domain is in namecheap, but im using Epik landers, would I still able to to have EPIK to process the payment? thanks
