Be problem

i registered domain today at OVH. got confirmation email and also second email, that my order is being processed. Now, 5 hours later, it is still not in my account, but dns.be whois showing completly different person under my domain name.Registration day is same (today). I wrote them about this. I am pessimist, so i expect they will write back that my purchase was a mistake, (sure, its a chunky domain, who wants to let it go ?). Anything i will be able to do to get it back? need advices please?

At OVH, be sure to check the following:
Login to your account. Go to "Billing".
On the left-hand side, you will see a bunch of menu options, including one for All Orders. Go there, and it will show you the status of your orders. You might find some info there...

I don't think you'll be able to get it 'back', since it seems somebody else has registered it before you. It might be possible that your registration hasn't been submitted yet to the .be registry and someone else (who might have used a different registrar) got in before you, or it could be possible that that other person registered it first but the changes didn't reflect yet while you were registering, so in your search it showed up as available.

Anyway, it is free anyway, so you didn't lose any money in this.

It is in my ordered domains. Status in process. Iand where is invoice list created for it. But no domain later i will tell you the name i am loosing.

If someone else's name shows up in the WHOIS, you didn't get the name. Chalk it up to registrar error and move on.

I have names at ovh that I have already regged somewhere else...ovh is totally useless...zombies.

ovh and the like really dropped the ball on the .be I think

nucleus and eurodns were easy,fast, and great. OVH confused me to no end, and box.be threw me out due to sedo parking like a bum

i got answer from them. "If it is not your info listed, domain is NOT FOR YOU"

Had exactly the same problem with Nucleus.
Regged the domain - got the email confirmation, changed the DNS, but didnt work.

Emailed Nucleus, and was told the name wasnt regged with them ( even though I can still see it in my account)

Not much fun, but I would say that you probably won't get the name.

Things working OK for me with OVH. But their interface is a bit confusing.
In the beginning it took time for the names to be registered, now it's immediate.
