IMHO all money related .mobi's will be valuable: banking, loans, credit cards, investments.

BofA may be the leader.....perhaps, Olympics commercials shown around the world with the "BofA"mobi" logo...... we shall see

In doing a little more research it appears that BOFA is going to stick with WAP programming for their mobile sites. As opposed to having customers download "special" software. Citibank is the main player with using downloads, and it appears BOFA is going in the other direction. With the WAP sites 85% of cell phone users will be able to access their bofa.mobi site without downloading anything. Simplicity has it's advantages.

This is actually a wise move for them as the mobile/cell phone is a personal item. I'll pass on downloading anything onto my cell phone, especially if I'm made to do so to access something.

NOTE: I wouldn't go overboard on buying new .mobi names just because of the BOFA announcement. If .mobi takes off, only the generic will command a high price.

In other encourageing news: My sister wrote to me to ask about these "dot .mobi" domains she saw advertised on Godaddy....

This is truly a great example of mobile and .mobi use that I sure hope other corporations follow. I think all good .mobi domains will be up a notch in value very shortly because advertising and public awareness is now finally starting to happen.

That's what I call good news. Mothers will never come 'round it I guess...that's too much to ask for!... but when clueless sisters (I speak for mine, not yours start to ask...it is a good sign
