Anyone know an easy way to change the background of a web page dependent upon the screen size/resolution of the user?

I am not sure of your question, do you mean that you have some picture in the background which you would like to be stretched to the edges of the browser window?

I think I found an answer.

I was going for: if screen size = x then load image y, if screen size = z then load image a

but thanks for replying.

I would not recommend this. Depending on what you are doing it could blow this image up and make it look really bad. Unless of course you are centering an image or something relative to screen size. I have seen sites try to implement this and it always turns out bad.

It's not using the same image, it's loading a different image dependent on screensize.

I'm still not sure I'm going to do it, but I wanted to know how just in case I decided to go that route.
