Hi,

I want to use fixed images with my website so that the images line up with each other and fill out the entire page; however with different screen resolutions this makes it quite difficult.

There is a Javascript that detects the screen resolution of a persons computer, so that it can then display the background required to fill that screen resolution; so I was wondering whether there is a similar Javascript which detects the screen resolution of a page so that it can then display the image for that resolution.

Does anyone know of such a script? At present I have just used a screen resolution redirection script however that means I need to create several pages for each link; and I don't think that search engines list pages with redirection scripts. Here is my site; http://www.mens-rights.net and I have made a test page where I am experimenting with the Background Screen Resolution script listed above; www.mens-rights.net/test.html

Thank you.

Honestly, that is THE worst way to build a webpage. Do NOT use absolute positioning AT ALL.

First of all, there are a hell of a lot of different possible screen resolutions. Secondly, not everyone maximises their browser window, which means there's no way to know what size their window will be. Thirdly, you can accommodate for any resolution or window size by just using relative positioning and percentages.
