discuss Are You Going to Get More Sales if the Landing Page Just Has Make Offer & No Prices or If The Page Has Both a Buy It Now Price & Make Offer?

Are your chances of getting a sale better if the Landing Page Lists both a Buy It Now Price & a Fill In Make an Offer or if the Page just lists make an offer for domains that are not what you people call great? I wonder if a Buy It Now Price turns people off they just won't bother making an offer as opposed to Making an Offer if something is not priced. What is your opinion? Thank You

For reference purposes, some domains I have priced on Afternic with only a BIN price. Some others I have a BIN price with a slightly lower floor price.

Around 90% of the ones with a lower floor price still sell for the BIN price.

If the domain is priced in a reasonable range, most people will just pull the trigger from my experience.

Outside of some outliers, you want to reduce friction for the buyer as much as possible. In most cases, especially in the class of names you've mentioned in other threads (four figures or less), BIN is going to get you the best results.

Hi

I use BIN + make offer on sedo
you only pay 10% commission/ using their ns

last sale buyer purchased at bin via network solutions
previous sale buyer made offer

you can set minimums too, for the tire kickers

but as always it depends on name, buyer,
price , etc.

imoโ€ฆ.

Hi, Planet9

Combining BIN and make-offer works best. Transparent pricing invites trust while keeping negotiation flexibility.

Especially if they have learned the hard way that submitting an offer gives the seller a chance to increase the BIN.

I really hate it when sellers do that during short negotiations, but it is their right to do so.

Experienced buyers have learned that the hard way and will just use the BIN if it's reasonable.

My favorite strategy is to use a "show price" lander like you see at PriceAvailable.com because:
  1. The price can't scare them away before you capture their contact details.
  2. Curiosity will get the best of most interested buyers, and they'll fill out the form to see the price.
  3. Once you have their contact details, you have a ton of options available to you to close the deal immediately or at some point in the future.
