Are you a domain collector for hobby?

I bought some domains that I like it very much. Some good dictionary domains, for example. But, I didn't really know what will domain can do.
Does it like a stamp collector for hobby?

Have you ever buy domain just for your hobbies? not for sales.

Hello All,

For me domains are both a fun hobby and more or less a self supporting one at that. I buy what I can afford and sell when I get a good price. In the mean-time, I enjoy sculpting as best a collection as I can and develop some when I am able. As of last count, I still think I have more domains than NP posts, so hopefully I'm not going too crazy

Just a couple of cents from one domainer in the wide world of domainia!

Even though i buy domains for earning money, I register some personal domains in the name of my family members and myself. That gives me more satisfaction.

My two cents worth.....

I truly think this is part hobby, part addiction (it's like eating chips, you can't have just one....:p

I currently own about 60 names. It's a collection for me, such as sports cards, stamps or memorabilia (I do collect baseball cards as well). Of course, it's always nice to make a profit from doing something you enjoy doing. I've sold some names @ wholesale, and I recently sold one for $250.00. Maybe the thought of making money is a motivating factor in having this hobby, but it's also cool to know that each domain name is a one-of-a-kind, and no one else in the world can have it (the words may be duplicated, but each is made unique with its extension)

Like a lot of people here I also got in to buying domains really just as a hobby,
but it is starting to turn in to a more serious thing for me now and I can see my
income from buying domains and parking them increase every month so im hooked on
the auto income one can make from good traffic domains,

I have only sold 1 domain and I sold that one for mid $xxx within 48 hours of
getting it from name winner for a $15 bid, I think it was just luck, but hey
gotta get lucky sometimes,

Im just wondering how you other guys are selling 100-150 or so domains, and if
you want to share any tips..

Well I have 120+ domains most a traffic domains and some are domains I bought
because I liked the sound of them or they were dictionary words...

Anyway time to find my next domain,

YES im Addicted.... I have to stop before I lose my wife, Kids, Dogs, House and cars.. Hey wait a sec I can keep collecting domains and get rid of the naging, the dad i need $20.00 daily. Hmmm im gonna keep collecting. LIF can only get better. If not I will start DNA - Domain Names Annoymous for all you other addicts out there.
