Is there such a thing as Domain Agents like real estate where a seller takes on your domain to be sold.

I know the large domain websites work this way - like Great domains, sedo and Afternic - but are there people - real people that will take on your domains.

If not wouldnt that be a good job for some great sales people...I guess they exists with big names - but I am talking more regular names $xxx and $xxxx.

Sure there are. They are usually called 'Domain Brokers' and are individuals who seek out and find buyers for your names in exchange for a percentage of the sales price (typically ~30%).

Many brokers work for 15% of the sale price as long as it is at least low X,XXX.

are they operating by "we'll call you, don't call us" standards..

Moniker.com offers brokerage services, but generally only for top notch domain names. DomainGuru.com offers active marketing/brokerage services for traffic domains, but again probably only on names you would expect to sell for six figures.

For the $xxx and $xxxx range names Fleege is asking about, I don't know of any off hand other than myself, but I'm not actively doing so now. I've seen many brokers come through NamePros selling names, but I don't know enough about any of them to be able to recommend them. The market may be ripe for a brokers that specialize in that range.

Hopefully we can get a few brokers to stop by this thread and identify themselves.

Best of luck,

RJ
