Are my prices to high? This is my first Domainer venture-

I havent sold any domains yet but i know my i am way over priced.
Can you guys give me any suggests? :hi:

what is a fair price for a 4 letter.com domain? I need to make some sales!

Well, in generall when things don't sell you either lower your price or let people know you will consider offers. The thing that frustrates people is that they may get many very low offers. But rather than feel insulted, I feel that at least there is some interest, and if I can find the right buyer I will get a better price.

If you have domain listed for $1,000 and someone offers you $50, then you get the idea that the the domain is worth at least that, and perhaps $100. If you get the right buyer you may get $200 or $800.

The thing I tell people is that unless you are sure you have something quite valuable, you don't have to feel bad about selling a domain for even 100% of what you paid for it. Any business where you can double your money is a good business, and if you get more than that, it's great.

You can try posting the domain here as an auction and set a reserve if you have a good idea what the minimum value is. Or you can put it on Ebay. You may have to auction some domains until you get an idea of what prices to set.

Its a numbers game, you can work on the theory that if you have enough names sooner or later your going to get some end user sales, or you can lower your prices and target resellers as well.

I figured if someone really wants the name they will pay the advertised price and if all your domains are on sale for 24.99 then go Buyer!/. But if they go to site and see 400 dollars and they really really want it they will pay , im sure these kinda people are few and far between , unless of course u can find them? eH?

I figure give them the option to give an offer however cause u might not really care about name so much . When u post a "make offer" form on most of your names for sale im sure that works out pretty good Huh?

One thing you could do is to set up a mailing list with Mailman or PHPList. Set your prices high, but tell people that if they want to know about lower prices of special sales, they can sign up with your list.

That way, if you don't get any buyers, you can put one or more domains on sale and send it to those that are interested. You may get a buyer that way, but you also may get people returning to your site to see what you may have that is new, unless you tell them in the newsletter.

Wow...Having taken a look at your site I can say that most of your domains are way overpriced! These type of prices are going to frighten potential buyers away! I would suggest you either drastically lower them to realistic prices or change them to "Offers'. JMHO
