thanks all :]
it was basically the first site i got, and so i tried a bunch of things on it. it ran a traffic exchange, had a blog, a forum, and a bunch of other stuff and it soared to PR3 in just a few months. the main reason for getting the domain was just to experiment and learn, which i have, but i dont have any purpose for it anymore (especially now that i have other websites).
the domain basically sold because it had PR, and sold for $15. i didnt spend any money on developing or promoting it, so it about broke even with its cost. payment was through paypal, and the domain was easily and quickly pushed through godaddy.
to all those still looking for their first sale: keep putting work into it, keep your eyes open, and wait... yes, waiting can be a pain, but it isnt as much of a pain if you're working on other sites while you wait. %%-
