Hi guys. I was just wondering if anyone with experience can tell me if the Godaddy certified appraisals (the one that costs around 15 bucks and takes 2 business days to process) are worth the money and how accurate they are?

Im not looking to get one of my domains appraised as I always turn to this forum (cant beat experienced domainers views IMHO) however if I was to see a domain listed in the auctions that I dont think much of at some point, with a low price but a high appraisal value from godaddy, would it be worth thinking twice?

edit: Certified appraislas are generally meaningless imho.

Look at some of the appraisals they have given & that should answer you own question. Save the $15

Nope, save the money or buy another domain name.

as a rule, no.

The GoDaddy Appraisals are worthless.

They inflate prices and their so-called "experts" don't know sh*t about domain values, :imho:

You'll get more accurate appraisals in the NamePros Domain Appraisals subforum.

i'd rather keep the $15 personally.

the only use i see for certified appraisals is to give some explanations for high automatic appraisals (like estibot).

You can probably get the same appraisal "range" by listing it as a premium with GoDaddy (still free to list, I think) and seeing the sales price range they recommend.
