I have 37 domains and would like to select the best keywords for them. I took that wordtracker demo and it looked pretty good. Have any of you guys tried this service out?

Wordtracker when used along with other tools does a lot to help set your KW's and drill down, but it is not an all in one answer.

What makes wordtracker great is that it shows you the actual search phrase. Overture can be misleading as it combines singular/plural, omits linking words and doesn't always show the correct word order.

Wordtracker can sometimes be misleading becuase it pulls the data from a smaller pool of searches. What looks like a high search keyword might not actually be when you have more results to pull from.

Hope that helps.

thanks guys, your advice always helps. I did a 1 week subscription and started pulling keywords for more 45 domains. Im currently just working on cancerreports.org . SEO for all these domains is proving to be a very big job.

Wordtracker has been an invaluable aid to me for my domains. I've been able to catapult my domains to google's page #1 for many lower competing keywords and even for some high competitor keywords. I especially like the search with wildcards feature, it brings out a bunch of superb keywords. The overture tool is no longer an exact measure and data hasn't been updated since Jan 2007. Wordtracker fills in the void with its current 24 hr predict and last 90 day count features. A superb tool.

Word tracker is great tool, but on it's own it has limitations and I haven't used on it's own for a long time.
I tend to use the results of Wordtracker using KWE as it interfaces with WT.
KWE also parses the results from Keyword discovery which I also use.

I also use Keyword country which gives different results but they have a huge database and there is a lot lower level niches that seem to be missed by both KWD and WT.

Lately have been using Themezoom but this is a very expensive monthly membership based tool but the results are great. Most if not all the other members are using the tool to research their niches and build their sites around the siloed keyword theme structure that the TZ builds up.
I on the other hand do the same, but I also use it to find domains for parking.
This tool has shown me that even multi hypenated keyword domains receive a lot of type in traffic. The only disadvantage of this is that the niches at the lowest level tend to have few or low paying ads, but then again every penny counts and I try to milk each drop that the advertisers pay for.

Of course the 5 day tasting period at Dynadot helps too as not every domain registered is a guaranteed cash cow.
