I registered a domain a week ago, a single word in another langauge .com that has 2,500,000 sites come up on google. I then tried to reg the site for google ad then put the ads on etc.

Anyway.

Before I reged the word the No.1 on google was one of the biggest mobile operators in the country now the No.1 isnt my site but the WHOIS information on my site!

LOL

I guess its progress of some sort!

Anyone had this before?

Sparhawke -

When I google the word (which is also my .com) the first result on google is not my site or the previous no. 1 site which is a telcos company but a link to the whois information on my site.

You're going to have to reveal the domain name and speak of the specifics. Your "beating around the bush" is only hindering you from receiving assistance.

Spell it out.

Cheers Tory,

I do not need assistance, I just wanted to know if anyone had their WHOIS information rank above the actual site before.

I re read the post and the subsequent clarification and it is clear to me what I am saying, just no one else! lol

Thanks anyway,

Anthony.

Try uploading something on your domain, maybe a simple html page or a WordPress site then see what happens.

this is a first for me, not that it speaks much of the domain strength ! only obscure searches or email searches usually returns a whois site on top !

I've seen the whois results show up for obscure dictionary word domains that haven't been developed yet, as well as short domains that have no meaning.

It happens, nothing too terribly unusual about it. Develop the domain and the whois results should drop down in SERPs.

I've had it happen to me on occasions. But not as #1 in the SERPS. Whose whois shows up? Domain Tools?

Yep thats right.

Hmm

Happened to me With a Few Domains.

No need to worry about.

That Domain Keyword is useless. It doesn't have to show up anything similar than Whois like Domaintools, Who.is

yes it can happen and when this happens that means usually that the term is having no competition (no one is trying to rank for your "keyword") and no search queries at all, so no one bothers looking it up, except the domain owner perhaps ;)

Toni - or anyone

I use Google Adwords keywords tool but it gives me a graph upto 100 without telling me how many searches that word has a month.

Do you know what site I can use to see how many searches are undertaken on a particular word?

Am I just using Google wrong?

Thanks,

Anthony
