I won a domain off TDNAM, sold it 2 days later, and my customer has already paid for the name. The customer insists on keeping his/her domains with a single registrar (1&1) and isn't really open to the push option. I sent to [email protected] what I thought was a compelling case for dislodging the X-fer lock, but GoDaddy denied my request.
Now, I think there IS a way to get around this issue, for two reasons:
(1) NetSol broke the 60-day lock for one of my domains with GoDaddy when a user bought that domain via NetSol's certified offer service.
(2) Reading past threads on NP, it looks like requests to remove X-fer locks on domains get honored if you're assigned an account rep. and contact him/her directly.
Can anyone who's been able to smash the X-fer lock in the past explain to me the easiest, swiftest way I may do the same?
