The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. It was another impressive market performance with every domain on our new Top 20 hitting at least five figures (and there were eight more at that level that didn't make the elite list). SnapNames topped the chart with a six figure sale for the second straight week and Sedo made news with the year's third biggest .org sale. .Org ruled the Global Contenders Chart with a pair of strong 2-letter domains helping that extension take 4 of the top 5 spots. Dog.de had its day at the top of the Country Code chart but the European Union's .eu claimed the most overall entries with eight. Read all about it through the link below:

Sales like that always amaze me.

Do you think it sold because it was an established site with traffic?

Yes, absolutely - and as such it's not eligible for our chart and has been removed. We have a new contact at Moniker sending over their sales info and she wasn't aware of that. Nice example of what good development can do for a weak domain name though!

Someday everyone will believe me in saying, hyphens are becoming much more accepted.

One hyphen domains are OK but this one ?

Still people need to get educated about domains

I will be happy to see users at least understand that the "www." part is not essential for the domain names

Why are domainers fighting it? Hyphen domains are NOT THAT BAD! They are being used more and more by society, and are becoming much more mainstream.

Maybe you didn't get the tone of my reply

What i said is that i support the hyphens but we (domainers) are not the ones we are considered "revenue", simple users are

So when users digest that - is hyphen and has nothing to do with _ underscore (i saw many that can't understand the difference) or others with the example of the www. that i mentioned before we will have to wait for some time to see hyphen domains as premium names

those are the kind of sales that motivate me to reg names some peeps wouldn't...if you dev correctly, a crappy name can still make even a few hundred $ per year and if you have 500 of them :)
